What an exciting week

Home » What an exciting week

In case you missed some of the exciting happenings in the life of Phoenix Seminary this past week, here’s a brief recap.

As the seminary is preparing for another great academic year, the board of trustees named Dr. Brian Arnold as the new president on Monday, July 29, 2019. The seminary made the announcement public this past Wednesday, July 31.

Dr. Brian Arnold is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. After graduating from seminary, Dr. Arnold pastored Smithland First Baptist Church in Smithland, KY. He moved to Arizona in 2015 to serve as Assistant Professor of Theology at Phoenix Seminary, then later as Academic Dean.

He is a pastor, husband, father, professor, and author, and he is passionate about seminary education. “We have the awesome opportunity to train the captains of the Church,” said Dr. Arnold. “I see seminaries as one of the most strategic opportunities in the kingdom of God.”

Arnold will follow 30 years of service and leadership from Chancellor Darryl DelHousaye. “I have absolute confidence that Dr. Brian Arnold is going to do and be used by God to do great things for this school,” said Dr. DelHousaye.
