SAVE TIME AND MONEY AS YOU PREPARE FOR MINISTRY

The Christian College Initiative is an opportunity for students with an undergraduate degree in Biblical and Theological studies from a Christian University to reduce the number of required credits in their Phoenix Seminary degree program.  Advanced standing is available only in the MDiv, MA (BTS), or the Master of Arts in Ministry (MAM). The maximum hours of advanced standing allowed are as follows:

The maximum hours of advanced standing allowed are as follows: the MDiv (30 hours), the MABTS (14 hours) and the MAM (14 hours).

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Undergraduate institution must be accredited.
  2. Undergraduate graduation date must be within five years of application.
  3. Cumulative undergraduate GPA must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  4. Specific undergraduate courses assessed and approved by the seminary must be completed with a B (3.0) or above.
  5. Syllabi may be required as documentation for each course.
  6. An advanced standing evaluation worksheet will be completed by the seminary for each student.

 

If the applicant graduated from an institution with an articulation agreement with PS, maximum hours are the same as noted above but should be waived according to the outline provided in the agreement (e.g. Oklahoma Baptist University, Arizona Christian University).
